The Derivative - A function $f : I \to R$ is differentiable at $c \in I$ if $lim_{x \to c} \frac{f (x) - f (c)}{x - c}$ exists.
Relative Max/min - A value $α$ is a maximum of $f : I \to R$ if $\forall x \in I$ then $f (x) \leq α$ . Minimums are defined similarly.
Increasing/Decreasing - A function $f : I \to R$ is increasing if $\forall x, y \in I$ then $x < y \to f (x) < f (y)$ .
