Tasks Completed:
Tasks for the Following Week:
We had to pivot away from using the Raspbery Pi due to power requirements. We instead moved to the ESP32, so for me specifically that requires no usage of Azure or fancy services (see Entry 10-04-24's task as I've canceled it). So I need to:
-
- The current plan is to use BT LE to send the data over low power, then have a phone recieve that data and pass it on to some external source like Google Cloud.
Meeting with Customer:
In the meeting, Oliver defined more specifics on the project engineering requirements. For example, he wanted:
- The cost to be under $50
- The device should be under
- The device should be able to run for at least 1 week.
As a result, we pivoted on the MCU we wanted to use, and also spent some time justifying why our new board would support a week's worth of runtime by checking that it had sufficient low power modes.
