Tasks Completed:
Tasks for the Following Week:
- [-] #todo/school : Create API interface for collecting data over longer periods of time w/ an Azure server 📅 2024-10-18
- This task will need some more requirements but the idea is to have an azure server or something set up so that we can store our data somewhere during collection. There's only so much storage that the Coral can support, so we want to see if we can upload this somewhere else?
- Although now I'm thinking about it, it may be okay since the Coral has 8 GB microSD, so then maybe it'll be okay? I should ask Oliver on Monday next week about it.
Meeting with Customer:
In the meeting, the team discussed developing a system for monitoring machines using cloud-based AI, focusing on predictive notifications, with potential applications in CNC machines and other industrial equipment. There’s a challenge in normalizing the data since machines may operate differently, making it tricky to determine what's "normal." Oliver suggested testing with a fan or a water reclaimer, exploring various models and activation functions to find optimal configurations. Oliver suggested starting with a higher-cost solution and then refining it to be more cost-effective, ensuring that power consumption remains low enough to sustain operation for a week using just two AA batteries. The deadline is to get something functional, with a focus on avoiding false positives, as a functional design first before making something more cost-effective and feasible.
Parts/Components to Order:

- Oliver wants us to delineate a bit more maybe. Review this in the next entry.
